Vaulted throughout

The living room is vaulted, the primary bedroom is vaulted, and the covered outdoor living area is vaulted as well. Most plans at this size vault one room and leave the rest at eight feet, which produces one impressive space and several that feel low by comparison. Carrying the ceiling height through means the house does not have a best room.

How the plan works

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms on one level, with an ensuite off the primary. A covered front porch handles the street approach in proper craftsman fashion, with the vaulted outdoor living area providing the private side.

The garage is detached and 22 by 22 feet, which keeps the car and its noise away from the bedrooms and leaves the bungalow elevation intact rather than interrupted by a garage door.
