This Privacy Policy explains how PlanBarn LLC (“PlanBarn”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit planbarn.com, contact us or buy from us.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you place an order: your name, email address, billing address, phone number if provided, and the plans and packages you buy. When you contact us or request a modification quote: your name, email address, any plan number and the content of your message. When you join our newsletter: your first name, email address and, if you choose to give them, your last name and phone number.

Payment information. Card and wallet payments (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) are processed by Stripe. Your full card details are sent directly to Stripe and are not stored on our servers. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the card brand and last four digits.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the website we and our service providers collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in section 5.

3. How we use your information

• To process your order, deliver your files and provide download access.
• To answer your questions, prepare modification quotes and provide customer support.
• To send order confirmations and other service messages about your purchase.
• To send our newsletter, if you have signed up for it.
• To prevent fraud, spam and misuse of the website, and to keep it secure.
• To understand how the website is used and to improve it.
• To measure and improve our advertising, including on Google.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations and to enforce our terms.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed for the purposes above:

• Stripe, to process payments.
• Google, for website analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising measurement (Google Ads).
• Our website host and website software providers, to host the website, send email and protect the site, including spam filtering of form submissions.
• Professional advisers and authorities, where required by law or to protect our rights.

If our business is sold or reorganised, personal information may transfer to the new owner under the same protections.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart and checkout working, remember plans you save, keep the website secure and fast, and understand how visitors use the site.

We use Google Analytics to measure website traffic and Google Ads to measure the results of our advertising. Google may use cookies to collect information about your visit and, where permitted, to show you relevant ads on other websites. You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of personalised Google advertising at adssettings.google.com, and prevent Google Analytics from using your data with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking essential cookies may stop the cart and checkout from working.

6. Email marketing

We send newsletter emails only to people who have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe option in any newsletter email or by emailing support@planbarn.com. Order and service emails about a purchase are still sent after you unsubscribe from marketing.

7. How long we keep information

We keep order records for as long as needed to provide download access, support your purchase and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. We keep messages and quote requests for as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. We then delete or anonymise information we no longer need.

8. Security

The website uses HTTPS encryption, and payments are handled by Stripe. We limit access to personal information to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to confirm whether we process your personal information, to access or receive a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at any time using the links in section 5.

To make a request, email support@planbarn.com or call 833-406-8249. We will verify your request using the information associated with your order or enquiry, and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline your request, you may contact us to appeal the decision.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we process your information to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running and improving the business, and with your consent for the newsletter. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International visitors

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires, appropriate safeguards are used for these transfers.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
