Exterior and interior renderings are illustrative. Furniture, landscaping and finishes are not part of the plan set unless listed.
Spruce is a 34 by 36 foot cabin, 1,650 square feet over two levels with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room is double height and the loft above it is unusually generous. The full set of 34x36 cabin plans downloads straight after payment.

1,650 square feet would normally be drawn as three or four bedrooms. This plan uses it for two, and puts the difference into the double-height living room and the loft. If you are building for a couple, for retirement, or as a cabin that hosts rather than houses, that trade is the right way round and very few plans offer it.
The loft is described as spacious because it is: it overlooks the double-height living room and has room to function as a second living area, a studio or a large additional sleeping space rather than a platform with a mattress on it.
Patios run front and back, and the windows are large throughout, which is what the double-height space is there to carry.
Ceilings are eight feet in the rooms that are not vaulted. The roof is rated to 95 pounds per square foot of snow load.
Drawn for a slab or concrete footing foundation.

Permit requirements depend on your location, site and proposed construction. Your building department determines which drawings, calculations and professional approvals are required, and local review may identify changes needed to the plans. Some departments ask for an engineer’s stamp or a foundation designed around your own soil report; arrange these with a local engineer.
If these 34x36 cabin plans are not quite the right size, browse every design in Cabin, or compare this one with Long Creek Chalet, 28×28 and Adirondack House, 30×46.
