A 22 by 36 foot A-frame in the Catskills manner, 1,200 square feet over two levels with two bedrooms and one bathroom, raised on an elevated foundation. You receive these catskills a-frame cabin plans as a PDF plan set.
Narrower than it looks
At 22 feet wide and 36 deep, this is a long, slim A-frame. The proportion matters: a narrow A-frame has a steeper visual profile and a shorter span to roof, which means lighter framing members and less material for the same floor area as a wider building.
The living room takes the double height at the glazed end.
Elevated for wet ground
The building is drawn to stand clear of the ground rather than on it, which suits riverside and lakeside sites, land that floods seasonally, or ground that simply stays wet. The ventilated space beneath the floor is what keeps a timber building dry from below.
Options
A den or office is drawn as an option, so you can decide whether the upper space is a working room or left open to the living area below. A patio is included in the set.
