234 square feet is a large loft. Most are half that and end up holding a mattress and nothing else. At this size it functions as a third bedroom, a studio or a second living area, which is what takes a two bedroom cabin up to sleeping six without adding footprint.

Low outside, tall inside

The roof is a 3 in 12 pitch and the ridge sits at 17 feet. That is low enough to clear most height restrictions, and it does not cost you anything internally: the single slope still carries the ceiling from eight feet at the low wall to fifteen feet six at the high one, which is where the living space and the loft sit.

A standalone laundry room
