About this plan

Honey Creek is a 24 by 28 foot cabin, 850 square feet over two levels, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The living area is double height, and the loft above can be finished as a bedroom or as an office. You receive these 24x28 cabin plans as a PDF plan set.

The loft decision

Leaving the loft undesignated is deliberate. Finished as a third sleeping space it makes the cabin rentable to a larger group; finished as an office it becomes the room that lets you work from the place rather than only visit it. The drawings support either, and you can decide after the shell is up rather than before you buy.

How it is arranged

The double-height living space is the centre of the plan, lit by large windows. Two bedrooms and a bathroom occupy the ground floor, and a front patio extends the living area outdoors.

Three foundation options

Crawl space, slab and pier foundations are all drawn and detailed. That is unusual, and it matters, because the right foundation depends on your frost depth, your slope and your water table, none of which you can judge from a catalogue. Having all three means your site survey decides, not your plan purchase.
