These 1800 sq ft farmhouse plans come as a complete PDF set. Harvest Farmstead runs 84 feet wide and only 30 feet deep, which gives it the long farmhouse elevation people are usually after and keeps every room on an exterior wall. 1,800 square feet, three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, single storey, with an attached two-car garage at one end.

How the plan works

The kitchen is built around an island, open to the dining and living areas. The great room can be built flat-ceilinged or vaulted; the drawings include both, so you can decide once you have priced the trusses rather than committing at purchase.

A separate home office or den is drawn into the plan. That is the room most 1,800 square foot houses leave out and most owners end up improvising, usually by giving up a bedroom. The half bathroom means guests are not routed past the bedrooms.

A covered porch spans the front, and there is a dedicated laundry room off the garage entry.

The download is a full construction set: dimensioned floor plans for each level, exterior elevations on all four sides, building sections and construction details, a foundation plan with floor, wall and roof framing layouts, an electrical layout, window and door schedules, and a roof plan with pitch and overhang dimensions. Before you build

Permit requirements depend on your location, site and proposed construction. Your building department determines which drawings, calculations and professional approvals are required, and local review may identify changes needed to the plans. Some departments ask for an engineer’s stamp or a foundation designed around your own soil report; arrange these with a local engineer. Print as many copies as your builder and your permit application require.
