About this plan

Long Creek is a 32 foot square cabin, 1,363 square feet over two levels with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The loft bedroom has its own ensuite. You receive these 1363 sq ft 32x32 cabin plans as a PDF plan set.

An ensuite in the loft

This is the detail that changes how the cabin is used. With its own bathroom, the loft becomes a self-contained master: whoever sleeps there has no reason to come downstairs at night, and the two ground-floor bedrooms keep the main bathroom between them.

It also makes the cabin work for two couples sharing, which is the most common way a cabin of this size actually gets used.

Volume and light

The main living space is double height with large windows filling it, while the rooms that are not open to the roof are held at eight feet, so they stay easy to heat. An oversized deck runs off the living area.

The basement option

Slab and pier foundations are drawn, with an unfinished basement available as an option. Unfinished is the sensible way to buy a basement: you get the excavation, the walls and the slab now, and the floor area is there whenever you want to finish it. Doing it later costs far more than doing it at the outset.
